A Call for Reform: Crossing the Quality Chasm for People with Chronic Conditions

The Institute of Medicine report, Crossing the Quality Chasm, indicates that "the American
health care delivery system is in need of fundamental change." It suggests that chronic conditions
should serve as a starting point for restructuring healthcare delivery. This keynote address will
identify the fundamentals that underlie this call for reform with three national leaders
identifying the regulatory implications for consumers, providers, and regulators.
